FPU is a 13 week study by noted financial author, radio host, television personality, and motivational speaker, Dave Ramsey. Participants are empowered and taught how to make the right money decisions to achieve their financial goals and God’s plan for their lives. Cost: $99 for the FPU Membership Kit. The class starts on Sunday January 8, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. in our church library (second floor). Sign-up at church office, 9727 Georgia Ave. or by phone, 301-681-7990. Space is limited.
ABUNDANT LIFE CONCERT: “Holy Smoke” coming to Montgomery Hills!
Join us for an evening of worship through music with the band Holy Smoke on Friday, January 27th at 8:00 pm. Sanctuary Choir Shares Good News!
Some of the members of the Sanctuary Choir of Montgomery Hills, under the direction of Cheryl Spell traveled the short distance from our church to Holy Cross Hospital on Wednesday, December 21, in order to sing Christmas carols in the hospital lobby. There were many passing by who stopped to listen, and the hospital staff was very grateful. Thank you Choirmembers for your ministry!

Youth in Grades 6-12 meet in the Rehearsal Room
6:15 pm - Dinner: Menu includes: Chili, rice medley, apple sauce, cornbread, fresh garden salad bar, and dessert
7:00 pm - Spiritual Formation: Adult Bible Study
7:00 pm - Sanctuary Choir Rehearsals in the Choir Room - New members are welcome!
Winter Coat and Accessories Drive!
The Winter Coat and Accessories Give-A-Way was a great success. A great big Montgomery Hills thank you to all those on this team who helped to make it happen! You made a difference!
HERITAGE AND HOPE FUND COUNTDOWN HAS BEGUN! During the recent launch of our endowment program, “Heritage and Hope,” we announced that one component would be the “Countdown to the Centennial”, thirty months of over-and-above giving, from July 2010 through December 2012, to provide the beginning of the endowment funds. Why wait until we die to begin to see the results of our gifts? Let’s do something now, and celebrate it when the church turns 100 in the last month of 2012. Each of us is encouraged to determine an amount we can contribute each month during that period. Special “Heritage and Hope” offering envelopes will be provided; but you may also use your regular envelopes and clearly show on your check how much is for tithes and how much is for endowment. If you have questions, please consult the facilitator of our Endowment Team, Dr. Marvin Roush. Or, visit the display in the church narthex.
