Dinner is provided from 6:00-6:30 pm
HERITAGE AND HOPE FUND COUNTDOWN TO BEGIN JULY 4! During the recent launch of our endowment program, “Heritage and Hope,” we announced that one component would be the “Countdown to the Centennial”, thirty months of over-and-above giving, from July 2010 through December 2012, to provide the beginning of the endowment funds. Why wait until we die to begin to see the results of our gifts? Let’s do something now, and celebrate it when the church turns 100 in the last month of 2012. Each of us is encouraged to determine an amount we can contribute each month during that period. Special “Heritage and Hope” offering envelopes will be provided; but you may also use your regular envelopes and clearly show on your check how much is for tithes adn how much is for endowment. If you have questions, please consult the chair of our Endowment Team, Dr. Joseph M. Smith. And please refer to July’s newsletter for more details.
JULY Book Club: “The Horse and His Boy” by C. S. Lewis
Join us in the Library after worship on Sunday July 11th as we continue our adventures in Narnia with C.S. Lewis’ book entitled, “The Horse and His Boy.” Whether you are visiting Narnia for the first time, revisiting an old favorite, or introducing it to someone new, we welcome you! This discussion is open to all ages, so invite a friend or famiy member to join you for lunch and a great book discussion. Please sign up in the Library so that we can plan for lunch!
